Working on the Possibilities

From a simple inquiry at corvair.org - to a major effort to work to bring the CORSA international Convention to Tacoma in 2014.
I enjoy the great connections at regional and national/international conventions, so I made some inquiries to find out what is involved....
My message via the CORSA website was directed to Larry Claypool - the conventions director.
Turns out he had been out to dinner with his wife and two friends the previous evening and were discussing the just completed 2012 convention in Sturbridge, MA.
Burt Richmond and Diane Fitzgerald, the friends at the dinner are also involved with the new LeMay Automobile Museum in Tacoma, WA and are interested in developing contacts with car clubs for events at the museum.
Larry read my e-mail inquiry after that discussion and was amazed to find interest in a convention from a Pacific Northwestern Corvair guy right at the same time they had been discussing it. (I live in Seattle)
The possibility had just begun!   I am very glad to be a part of a newly developing team that are now working to put together the information needed to make a serious proposal to the CORSA Board of Directors for an International Convention in Tacoma in co-operation with the LeMay Museum in Tacoma.

We'll keep you posted on our progress!

Looking Forward,
Dan
